The Dualtron Sonic Alien (Model A) is a dual-motor electric scooter delivering 7200W of nominal power, driven by a 72V 40Ah 2880Wh battery for an advertised range of 120km. DGT-certified, it is engineered for long daily commutes as well as private track riding.

Motor and battery

The scooter features a dual motor delivering a nominal output of 7200W, peaking at 8400W and reaching a maximum of 11760W. It is equipped with a 72V 40Ah 2880Wh battery, using Samsung or LG cells depending on the version. Two 50A controllers manage the powertrain, complete with a 70A boost mode.

Performance and range

The manufacturer advertises a range of 120km. FōhzShop estimates realistic range at 90km when restricted and 60km at full power. For private track use only, unlocked top speed exceeds 100km/h.

Braking, suspension and tyres

Stopping power is handled by a NUTT 4-piston hydraulic braking system paired with 160mm discs (1.6mm thick, 48mm bolt spacing). It features cartridge suspension. It runs on 11-inch Naputun tubeless road tyres in 90/65 R6.5 size, factory-treated with puncture-prevention gel.

Chassis and dimensions

Unfolded, it measures 1270mm in length, 700mm in width and 1355mm in height; folded, it measures 1270mm in length, 320mm in width and 590mm in height. The scooter weighs 53kg and supports a maximum load of 120kg. The chassis is rated IPX6 water-resistant, while the display boasts an IPX7 rating.

Charging and equipment

A standard 2A charger and a 5A fast charger are supplied. Charging takes 20 hours with the standard charger and 8 hours with the fast charger. It accepts a maximum charging current of 20A, with a 10A limit per port that must not be exceeded to prevent damaging the charging sockets. Equipment includes the eya display, compatibility with the Minimotors and EyeX apps on iOS and Android, a horn, front and rear lights, a brake light and indicators.

Safety

High-speed stability is maintained by a steering damper. It features a CBS combined braking system and traction control. It also includes code or app locking, an alarm and a GPS tracker.

Road legality

This model complies with European and UK regulations for PLEVs. It comes factory-restricted to 25km/h and carries the CE mark. Mandatory equipment includes front and rear lights, a brake light, indicators and a horn.

DGT certification

The scooter is officially certified by the Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT), confirming its compliance with Spanish road traffic standards.

Warranty and after-sales service

The scooter comes with a 24-month warranty, with 12 months of coverage for the battery. FōhzShop after-sales support is available 7 days a week, in French, provided by dedicated experts.
