Description
The Rovoron R5 is a versatile dual-motor electric scooter. It produces a peak output of 2957W and reaches 65km/h on private land. Its 60V 37.1Ah battery with 2226Wh delivers up to 100km of range. It comes limited to 25km/h, certified by the DGT, and suits daily commutes as well as long journeys.
Powertrain and battery
The R5 features two motors delivering 2640W nominal output and 2957W peak output. This power ensures brisk acceleration and climbs hills with ease. It runs on two 22A controllers. Its 60V 37.1Ah battery provides 2226Wh of capacity and uses Samsung or LG cells depending on the production run.
Performance and range
It reaches 65km/h on private land. It comes factory-limited to 25km/h. The manufacturer range is 100km. Our thorough tests show 80km in restricted mode and 60km at full power.
Brakes, suspension and tyres
It is equipped with NUTT 2-piston hydraulic brakes and 160mm discs for powerful and progressive braking. The discs are 1.6mm thick with a 44mm bolt spacing. Its coil spring suspension absorbs road imperfections and keeps the scooter stable. The 11-inch tubeless Naputun tyres come in 90/65 R6.5 with a road profile. They contain puncture-prevention gel to help avoid flats.
Chassis and dimensions
It weighs 43.3kg and supports a maximum load of 120kg. Water resistance is certified IPX6 for the chassis and IPX7 for the display. Unfolded, it measures 1280mm long, 600mm wide and 1370mm high. Folded, it measures 1280mm long, 279mm wide and 603mm high.
Charging and equipment
The 2A charger tops up the battery in 19h. The scooter accepts up to 20A in total and 10A per port. Do not exceed these ratings to protect the charge ports. It features an Ey3 Connect display and links to the Minimotors and EyeX apps available on iOS and Android. It comes equipped with a headlight, a rear light, a brake light, indicators and a horn.
Security
Locking is handled via the app or by passcode. It does not have a steering damper, alarm, GPS tracker or traction control.
Road legality
This model complies with European regulations for personal light electric vehicles. It comes factory-limited to 25km/h and carries CE marking. It is fitted with a headlight, a rear light, a brake light, indicators and a horn.
DGT certification
This model is certified by the DGT, the Spanish Dirección General de Tráfico.
